![]() When I realized my mistake, I deleted the namespace server, but the target folder did not delete. I am running into an issue where I was building a new DFS namespace and created the wrong target folder. But I did not change the system drive at all, other than enlarging it. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is that I added some disks to this server last summer and some folders that used to be on the E drive are now on the F drive. This is getting to be a problem as there is a tax application that I need to be able to run from the server console that will not install correctly unless. I have verified that I can access and write to both of these folders. ![]() The user temp folder is c:\users\username\appdata\local\temp. The system temp folder is c:\windows\temp. I have triple checked the location of the temp folders on this server. When I do this, I get a message that the installer is unable to write to the temp folder. So last night I tried to manually uninstall and then re-install. Everytime I try to install them, I get a failure. Windows update says that it has 5 "Important" updates to install and they are all some sort of. ![]() NET 4 does not think it can write to the temp folder. I have one customer, a CPA firm that has a problem with their SBS 2008 server. I am a self-employed IT guy who works with lots of Small Business servers. This is my first post here so I just want to say hello and thanks in advance for any help.
